This film follows the Texan from his childhood to his record-breaking sixth consecutive Tour de France victory in 2004, victories that were shared with cancer victims and survivors worldwide.

In probing interviews, Lance talks about how he fought the disease, while his mother, friends, teammates and rivals offer intimate insights into his personality, both on the race course and off it. Interspersed with footage of his greatest victories, this is a moving portrait of an athlete who has fought back from the brink to transcend his sport.
